HIFU

(High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound)

"HIFU" (High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound) is a non-invasive lifting method that delivers ultrasound energy to the targeted layer without damaging the skin surface. HIFU generates heat between 53 to 80 degrees in the dermis and SMAS layer to form thermal coagulation points, regenerating collagen fibres and elastic fibres for a lifting effect.

Diagram of temperature effects on body tissues, including ranges 40-60°C (heating), 60-80°C (coagulation and denaturation), 80-100°C (vaporization and ablation). Includes a focused transducer emitting ultrasound waves diagram and a heat map showing temperature distribution.

HIFU is recommended for people who:

▸ are interested in a treatment without damage on the skin surface

▸ desire a more defined jawline and reduction of double chin

▸ prefer a procedure with minimal downtime and recovery

▸ are looking for non-invasive facial lifting and tightening

▸ are worried about skin laxity and looseness

▸ want to stimulate collagen production naturally

▸ Female in early 60s; Worried about the collapsed face line, expecting effect over time

  • HIFU treatment is used for skin tightening, face lifting, and reducing fine lines and wrinkles. The treated area will show improved elasticity and lifting, as well as collagen regeneration.

  • You can see the lifting effect right after the treatment. However, this is a temporary phenomenon where the skin and muscles react by tightening due to the strong ultrasound. The actual and desired effect will occur when the damaged tissue is restored, tightening your skin.

  • Usually, you can see the most vivid results 1-2 months after treatment, and they will last up to 6 months. Recommended intervals between treatments are every 2-3 months, but this can vary from person to person.

  • The pain may vary depending on the treated area. In general, clients report experiencing mild pricking and tingling during the treatment. If you have sensitive skin, the procedure can be performed at a lower energy level.

  • There are no special precautions, and you will be able to return to your normal activities after the treatment. However, to maintain the best results, we recommend refraining from acupressure massage, drinking alcohol, and smoking.

  • Since HIFU transmits ultrasonic heat energy deep into the skin, not to the surface, clients can return to their daily activities immediately after the procedure. If you have sensitive skin, mild redness may occur. If the cartridge is not tightly placed on the skin due to client movement, HIFU heat can be transferred to the upper dermis, which is not the correct target, potentially leading to linear blisters. These blisters will naturally disappear within a week or so.
